Continuing with my excitement for Halloween, here's a little cosplay test I did as Death for a Halloween costume. She is such a charming character; I admire her easy-going but no-bullshit attitude, she reminds me of my older sisters and I think her empathetic spirit is so refreshing for a Strong Female Character—which is crazy since she was dreamed up before I was born. Still I’m surprised to find out how many friends my age haven’t read The Sandman! If you love stories, mythology, history, the surreal, and some amazingly creative comic paneling, I bet you’ll love it if you give it a go!

I found the first photos I took for a Halloween costume as Death. She’s so fun to wear and it’s impossible not to feel really relaxed and have so much fun wearing her because the makeup is cute as hell and I’m enveloped in a constant reminder of my own mortality—what a stress relief! If you haven’t picked out your costume for this year I highly recommend Death as an option! Cute couples idea: take your partner as Terry Pratchett’s version of Death!
